The DFW Diamondbacks were established in 1997 consisting of current and former college baseball players as well as former professional baseball players. The DFW Diamondbacks play in the 18AAA Division of the DFW ABA which is the most competitive division in the league.
In the fall of 2006, I made it through try-outs and was given the opportunity to be the only high school player on the Diamondback team during the fall season. I gained a starting position in centerfield for the Spring 2007 season and I have a current batting average of .333.

Mitchell,
I wanted to bring to your attention your level of play from the Spring 2006 season to the current Spring 2007 season.
This Spring, you have made huge strides in your defensive play in CF. You have done a tremendous job on your routes in CF, especially fly balls hit in the gaps that you have utilized your quick speed and made the outs. If not for your speed and taking the right angles to these balls, those would have been doubles or triples, but you turned them into outs.
Offensively, your at bats have been way more productive and consistent compared to 2006. You are making contact alot more and very unselfish at the plate and lay down bunts when asked or even on your own terms.
Also, as far as hitting goes, you still are not hitting the ball with authority the way you should and can. If you start driving through the ball in your swing by using your lower body more, you will find that extra base hits will come more consistently.
Keep up the hard work and if you start hammering on some of the items I just mentioned, your level of play will only increase.
For any questions feel free to call or email me.
